By using CAD designed to make the molds, this provided a great foundation for accurate fixturing. Using 3D models, PCI was able design and CNC machine precise positional fixtures.
These fixtures were indexed off specific locations. This minimized human error during assembly operations, ensuring repeatability and accuracy.

An EV OEM worked with PCI engineering to develop a large 1 piece assembly composite roof fairing. The structure was made by Vacuum Infusion.
The challenge was locating the internal support structure and hardware over a large part within a tolerance of ±1mm. This was critical as the large roof mates to a metallic cab with tight tolerances.
